Create a Test Identity

This page describes the full procedure to create a L’Identité Numérique La Poste test identity.

👉 This identity allows you to:

• test LINLP authentication journeys
• simulate user scenarios
• validate the technical integration

Creating a test identity is based on:

• a dedicated mobile application (not available on public app stores)
• creation of a La Poste account
• manual validation by LINLP teams

⚠️ The test application is not available on public stores.

👉 Send an email request with:

• email address
• smartphone type (Android / iOS)
• project context (reason for testing)

👉 An invitation will be sent to download the application.

As the application is outside public stores:

• Android:
  • Settings > Security
  • Enable “unknown sources”

• iOS:
  • Settings > General > VPN & Device Management
  • Trust “LA POSTE”

In the application:

1. Open the application
2. Click Continue
3. Click Create an account

Provide:

• email → validation with received code
• password
• phone number
• title, first name, last name
• accept terms and conditions

👉 The La Poste account is created.

• accept LINLP terms and conditions
• validate eligibility criteria
• confirm phone number
• enter the SMS code received

👉 The phone number is verified.

• allow notifications
• start identity verification
• choose: At a Post Office

👉 In the test environment, this method is used for validation.

Complete a table with:

⚠️ Key step specific to the test process

• send the completed identity table
• to the LINLP team

👉 You will receive:

• a validation confirmation
• an activation code

In the application:

• enter the received activation code
• define a secret code (4 digits)
• confirm the code

👉 The digital identity is activated.

Once activated:

• use the identity in OIDC flows
• validate requests on the smartphone
• verify returned data

Available only upon request.

⚠️ Manual validation required

Without LINLP validation → account unusable.

⚠️ Fictitious data

Must remain consistent with test scenarios.

⚠️ Unique email and phone number

Unique data per LINLP account.

⚠️ Anticipate account creation As validation is manual, the estimated delay per request is 48 business hours.

• The test journey is controlled and partially manual
• The application is specific (outside app stores)
• Validation goes through the LINLP team
• The identity can then be used like in production
